The River Mill sits on the banks of the River Derwent in Darley Abbey, just outside Derby city centre, in the heart of the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site. We set the nine holes out close to where your guests gather for drinks, so the course becomes a natural meeting point between the ceremony and the wedding breakfast. The white wedding-themed holes stand out against the old brickwork, and with guests of all ages joining in, it’s a brilliant ice-breaker for two families meeting for the first time.

About 10 × 5 metres of level lawn, gravel, paving or indoor floor. It needs no power, and we can tailor the layout to the space at The River Mill.
What happens if it rains?
We agree a wet-weather plan with The River Mill in advance. If torrential rain means we can’t provide the experience you booked, you receive a full refund, including your deposit.
